Food was amazing! They were fully booked that evening and they still made room for us. We were seated on the counter right in front of their open kitchen. We saw how the chefs crafted their dishes and you can see how they made everything. Best dining experience I had in Seattle.

This place seems to have dishes that can be either very good or just OK. There is public parking right across the street or street parking. This would be a great place to go on a date or chit chat with coworkers. I ordered the Pan-Seared Scallops. They add an unusual variety of ingredients that all worked wonderfully together, including: Mole verde, corn, favas, pickled chayote, hibiscus gel, red onion + cilantro. The waitress and a guy sitting next to the bar with me highly recommend this dish and the scallops melted in your mouth. I loved the unique flavor combo. The Hamachi appetizer was very refreshing with the cucumber and the banana pudding was just OK. I probably would not get the banana putting again, but apparently it is very popular... Just be ready for a very strong ripe banana flavor and soggy wafers.

Quality and flavor in an intimate setting. After having a very underwhelming experience at another location in the area I was craving delicious seafood and Shaker+Spear gave me just that. We started off with their local greens, hamachi and hush puppies. Everything was very light and full of flavor. For our entrees we tried the Alaskan halibut and honestly worth every bite. So fresh, ingredients perfectly complimented each other it was delicious. If you find yourself in the area this place delivers in every sense of the word.

Absolutely delicious!!! We loved the casual vibe with the foodie tastes! The small plates are big enough to share or even make a small meal out of. Pace yourself with the cocktails because there are many, they are delicious and you'll want to try them all! There are a variety of mocktails if you don't want spirits, and they are as good as the alcohol. The food is very well done and great care is also in the presentation. You can see the chef putting his stamp of approval on all the dishes before them come out, so you know you're getting a quality dinner. This place is great for a special occasion or just celebrating the weekend!

I used to be in love with this place pre pandemic but sadly it's gone down just a notch for me personally. I do love their drinks, and their appetizers are great. My favorite things on their menu USED TO BE, their freshly baked bread poppers, as well as their Thai inspired fried snapper that had a great slaw and veggies with it. Sadly it is no longer prepared this way. This time around I enjoyed the octopus, the scallops were also tasty. And the service was also great. All in all still a great place for the vibes and drinks but not for the food experience that it used to be. Still worth trying at least once.

Shaker + Spear in Seattle is an absolute gem! From the moment I sat down at the bar, I knew I was in for a treat. Rick, the bartender, was phenomenal--kind and attentive, providing excellent service throughout my meal. The dining room's elegance is matched by its simplicity, creating a beautiful and inviting atmosphere. I started with the spicy margarita, a perfectly balanced kick of heat and sweet that tantalized my taste buds. The hamachi was fresh and expertly seasoned, a must-try for any seafood lover. The pan-seared scallops were the star of the evening--succulent and perfectly cooked, paired wonderfully with the subtle tanginess of the chèvre cheesecake, which was an absolute delight and a perfect end to my culinary journey. The noise level was just right, allowing for easy conversation. This restaurant is an excellent choice for a romantic date or a relaxed evening catching up with good friends over a delicious meal. I highly recommend making a reservation to ensure you get to experience this wonderful spot. Thank you, Shaker + Spear, for such a memorable evening!

When seafood meets soul food, it's a magical thing! If you're craving comfort food with an ocean twist, then look no further than Shaker + Spear. Last night I had the pleasure of dining here and their food did not disappoint. Soul food classics get a delicious upgrade with fresh local seafood and ingredients. I devoured my seafood boil with a side of greens and can't wait to go back to try some new dishes (they update their menu according to what's fresh in season). I absolutely love the ambiance too. It's a true wine bar vibe. Shoutout to Robin, our waitress that had amazing energy.

Stopped in for an early dinner since we were on east coast time and just landed in the city. We grabbed some seats at the bar and the bartender took great care of us. The cocktail list had quite a few options and I loved the old fashioned style drink I picked. We started with the crab fritters and they were great. Lightly fried and full of flavor. Sharing 3 pieces is awkward though so I always think they should give you 4 to share. For dinner, I had the seafood boil and really enjoyed it. The food runner dump the pan of food out onto my plate in front of me which was cool. I had no complaints about any of it. The portion size was perfect as well. Overall, this was a cool spot and the atmosphere was great. I love open kitchen concepts where you can hear them call out your order and prepare it. We will definitely come back.
